In our most recent endeavor, we addressed a unique challenge presented by a client: their spa jet initiated only a brief pulse upon activation and then ceased to function. Initially suspecting a malfunctioning pump capacitor, a deeper investigation revealed a more complex issue. A compromised pump housing seal had allowed moisture ingress, leading to corrosion on the electrical terminals. This, unfortunately, resulted in loose and arcing connections, ultimately rendering the pump inoperative.
The solution was clear and necessitated the replacement of the damaged pump. With the installation of a new pump, the spa was revitalized, functioning with its intended vigor and efficiency. This successful resolution underscored the importance of thorough diagnostics and the readiness to adapt to unexpected findings.
