A recent job took us to a customer’s new home to check out a leaking indoor spa bath. After trying to fill it for 20 minutes with no success, the customer suspected a problem. I crawled under the house to check things out—and made a surprising discovery.
The previous owner had disconnected the tub from the pump, then closed off the wall with bricks, leaving the pipework uncapped! With future plans for the bath in mind, the customer asked me to simply cap it off for now. I joined both ends of the pipework to allow water circulation, preventing any trapped water from building up.
Another happy customer, with their spa bath ready for future use or upgrades!
