🔧 Local Spa Repairs Update 🔧
A recent service call brought us to a customer with a unique problem—the touchpad on their swim spa was not sitting flush with the spa surface, protruding due to lack of space. After speaking with the customer, I had a feeling this job would require a bit of custom engineering.
Once on-site, it became clear that the issue stemmed from a manufacturing oversight. The hole in the supporting metal frame wasn’t cut wide enough, leaving no room for the body of the touchpad. This caused the touchpad to sit on the frame, and when the spa was filled with water, the pressure would push it out of place.
To resolve this, I crafted a custom adapter plate from acrylic, which lifted the touchpad slightly, giving it the clearance needed from the frame. This allowed it to be securely and neatly glued into place.
The customer was relieved and happy with the final result, knowing their spa was back to working properly.
