This time, we were called to take a look at a spa that had completely stopped working and was only making a humming noise. My first thought? A faulty capacitor—it often sounds just like that.
However, after a closer inspection, I found that the pump shaft was seized. Given the age of the pump, a repair wasn’t economical, and the customer agreed that replacing it was the best option.
On my follow-up visit, I installed the new pump. Thanks to the included repair pump unions, the swap-out was completed quickly and smoothly. After a quick test, the spa was back to life, ready to be enjoyed. Another working spa, and another happy customer!
